print range demo

after upgrading from oo32 to aoo401 we have user complaints
about the new print dialog:

it is no longer possible to print the current visible page.

steps to repoduce:

- open attached "print_range_demo.ots"
- select "Tabelle 2"
- switch to print preview
- open print dialog

aoo will always show a print range "1-6"
(this is: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125241)
see attached *.jpg's for details.

oo32 showed the current visible sheet "3"

if you do not switch to print preview before opening the print dialog,
aoo will show "1-3", but will never show an option to print the current sheet.

solution: add an option to print the current sheet.

Print dialog in AOO 4.1.1

I do not get the situation, which you show in the screenshot. Do you have accidentally selected all sheets?

The usual case is, that only one sheet is selected, in your example sheet 2. Then the print dialog only shows the pages, which belong to this sheet, in this case 3 pages.

There is no need for "current sheet" because that is the default setting of the dialog. You need to choose "all sheets" or select more that one sheet to not get the current sheet.

I should be more precise:
i want to print the current visible
*page* of sheet #2

Related to issue 114356?

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=114356

Researching if this was a specific change at some point.
Comment 6 Oliver Brinzing 2015-02-07 08:56:56 UTC
issue 114356 describes the same problem for writer:
default options "Pages 1 - X " is same as "Print all".
Comment 7 Regina Henschel 2015-02-07 12:56:15 UTC
I have changed the summary according comment #4 and set Issue Type to enhancement.

The current implementation acts in a way, that when calling the printing dialog from "Page preview" always the full document is considered and page counting refers to the whole document. On the other hand, when calling the printing dialog from "Normal" or from "Page Break Preview" such like "current page" does not exists and the page counting refers to the selected content only. Reed bug 120116 in addition.

Which page number should be printed on the "current" page?

For me it looks like not only a missing option in the printing dialog is the problem, but the "Page Preview" itself.
