As reported by Giovanni Grazia on the Italian l10n list:

Modifica > Modifiche > Record di dati

is a wrong translation; the right one is

Modifica > Modifiche > Registra modifiche

This is one of the string fixes that are already fixed in Pootle for 4.2 and that should be cherry-picked to AOO410 since they affect very visible strings (in this case, menu items).

Fixed in revision 1707648 directly on AOO410.

Note: this was done by editing the SDF file as discussed on the dev list; the change is already in Pootle for 4.2 and will get to the trunk from there when strings are updated from Pootle, so it is not needed to do the same change on trunk.

To verify:
1) Download the Italian version from https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openoffice/4.1.2-rc2-r1707648/binaries/it/
2) Open Writer
3) Check that the menu item is "Modifica - Modifiche - Registra Modifiche" and not "Modifica - Modifiche - Record di dati"
