Description Radek Sip 2015-03-17 08:34:51 UTC
Created attachment 84599 [details]
Archive (document + screenshot)

The .docx document is created in Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac (fully patched)
The document is OK in MS Office 2011 Mac, MS Office 2013 Win and online Word (Office 365).

Unfortunately some text on page 3 is missing in Apache OpenOffice 4.1
Tested on two Macs and one PC.
See the attached screenshot in the archive

I notice that the link in the first paragraph of section 5 (after “Gulden Land”) is also missing in the AOO presentation.

When I view the .docx in Microsoft Office 2013 Word (Office 365 Business version) there is something odd about the formatting of that URI.

Line breaks in some of the missing paragraphs are also unclear. It seems that there are forced spaces in many places that cause words to move to new lines because they appear longer than they are. In AOO Writer, the missing paragraphs are replaced by about 12 blank lines (empty paragraphs).

What Microsoft Office Language Pack should I install to see if that makes a difference? I don't know if that matters for the import into AOO, but it might provide more clues.

No special language/translation/profing tools has been installed to MS Office 2011, it's default English installation.

The OpenOffice installations are in Czech version

Unfortunatelly I'm not sure from which source the text was copied, I only know it was copied with Safari 8. I think it was from Facebook Messenger's email, because it was result of some discussion.

Thanks. That is useful to know. It may take digging into the document files to find out more.
