Print layout problem with cells containing large text
Last modified: 2016-02-09 01:47:11 UTC
Created attachment 85273 [details] Large text cells that span over the page limit I have a document with large formatted text in a column. In Page Preview or when I print the document, if the cell content exceed the available space on the page, some strange things happen: 1. it gets truncated 2. it is printed beyond the margins of the page, up to truncation 3. [IN THE EDITOR] I cannot properly edit the whole text anymore unless I reset the cell heights (or buy a bigger monitor!) I would have expected the cell contents to be split and continue on the next page. The cells are all formatted as text with automatic wrapping, and for each one the "optimal cell height" has the default value unchecked.
Calc is not a word processor. Why you don't use Writer to this task?
(In reply to oooforum from comment #1) > Calc is not a word processor. Why you don't use Writer to this task? Yes of course it would be better for the text (and in the end I did it, loosing the other data), but not for the rest of the data linked to the text... I could just insert a link instead of the whole text in that column, but this still won't print out easily in one document at request... Am I wrong? Thanks for your reply
