Any opinion on this?

People here would like to be able to add MNG animations into
presentations.

This would be fantastic. MNGs are so much smaller than comparable GIFs, as well
as being an open format.

Hi,

I see this is a fairly old thread, but I want to voice my support for MNG
graphics in Impress.

I give scientific presentations frequently, and videos are an important part
of these talks. Unfortunately, I have never been able to get JMF to work
properly, and I am often presenting on platforms where the JMF routines (if
working) would still be very limited, such as on PowerPC Mac OS X. I have used
animated GIFs, which tend to be quite large, as well as hyperlinks to movie
files to start an external player, but I really find both of these methods
cumbersome to use.

I feel that the ability to use MNG graphics would be a great help to me.
Thanks!

- Nathan
