Paste external content does not work, old clipboard Content freezed in openoffice

I am working with a file of currently 276 pages, nearly 1-2 Pictures per page, nearly 500 footer notes and totally 23 MB size. I often copy pictures or URLs in ofter applications like IE to the clipboard. For a longer time all works fine, but from one to the next moment i just get the "last" copied value. I can paste the content inside the clipboard in EVERY OTHER APPLIACTION, but just openoffice paste every time the last successfull pasted content. The update / refresh does not work! The only workarround is to paste the content to MS paint, close all OpenOffice applications and restart them. Then it works again for a limited time. Some additional informations: - I use Kaspersky, Greenshot, IE and Firefox - Normally 10 - 20 Application instance (not oo) are open parallel - The Browsers contains arround 20 to 40 open Tabs. - The System has 16 GB Memory, Maximum 12 GB reserved, arround 8 GB used. - The Problem was at my old Notebook (Vista, 32Bit, 4 GB) and is still existing at my new one (Win10, 64Bit, 16 GB). - While working at the document i often view Video parts at YouTube and others. This problem is unacceptable for me. Its nice, that the documents reopen at the last edited cursor position, but the Need to close and reopen is frustrating. If you need more informations, ...
It's not only a problem in writer. I currently have the problem again. When i paste the new copied picture in calc i also get the before saved URL.
This problem may be in the copy and not the paste, and it may be a Windows Clipboard interaction problem. One thing to check: 1. Have another word-processing document open, such as WordPad, which also accepts pastes of images. That's built-in on your Windows OS. 2. Any time the paste into an OpenOffice document does not work, go to the open WordPad document and do the paste there too, to see what you get. 3. If that also shows the previous clipboard content, it is not an AOO problem. Just go back and copy the intended content again. When it pastes correctly into the WordPad scratch document, it should also paste fine into the OpenOffice document. If not, let us know. 4. If, instead of (3), WordPad also shows the latest clip and not the previous one, then it is related to how AOO accepts pastes from the Windows clipboard. Confirm if that is the case. If it can be caught with a new clip confirmed as pasting to other apps, but not to AOO, we can look at how to isolate that further.
PS: This appears to be a duplicate of an earlier issue, but let's work on it here.
1.) Correction in second sentence: "...URLs from other app..." 2.) Today i had the Problem again and like i wrote "I can paste the content inside the clipboard in EVERY OTHER APPLIACTION". This includes also WordPad, for text and Pictures. 3.) I noticed, when i do not use the clipboard for a longer time, the copy/paste function continues to work. 4.) Since i changed some settings, i did not have the Problem again. - Extras / Settings / Memory (in german: Extras/Einstellungen/Arbeitsspeicher) i changed the time to remove content down to 5 minutes and the count of cached objects from 20(?) to 1. For the retest i went back to 15 minutes and 20 objects, but i will try 5/1 again and report you if i should get the problem again. I think the cache inside OO is buggy. :-)
The complete current list: 100 steps undo, 20 MB grafic cache, 5,2 MB each object, 5 Minutes before removing, 1 cached object, quickstarter unchecked.

It is also very peculiar. It gives us a place to look for localizing a difficulty. That may still work a while and it is unpredictable when a release with a remedy could appear. If you find an improved workaround let us know, for the benefit of others having this difficulty.
Issue 113171 is an earlier report of this problem (among others, possibly). I am cross-connecting these, rather than closing one or the other as a duplicate. One thing to look at is changes made in the Windows clipboard that allow it to retain multiple copies (as opposed to multiple formats of the same copy). The problem might be in how AOO gets the latest one in that case, rather than it being an internal cache problem. Both aspects need to be checked into.
I posted the comment below at Comment 27 I am the original poster. I have been re-reading this thread and Issue 126858 and something caught my eye - is it a timing / slow response problem? If anyone is still having this problem then, next time it happens, just wait for 10? 20? 30? seconds and see if it fixes itself. Why? See Comment 4 in Issue 126858 which says: "I noticed, when i do not use the clipboard for a longer time, the copy/paste function continues to work." See Comment 1 here which says: "OO has a long delay (several seconds) before copied text is placed on the Windows Clipboard." Could this be related to the problem?
I can confirm this Statement, but i also have to deny your hope of such a short selfrepair. When i got the Problem, i often do multiple actions - like changing the type of content. If the Problem starts with a URL from the browser, i changed to html-text from the page (formatted), Images, unformatted text from Notepad++, .... and within the hole time the old Content is still in the oo-clipboard. When i Close writer (as only oo instance) and restart, the copy/paste works fine again. During i updated this ticket, the function also self repaired, but i think the Duration should be equal to the cache-configuration inside of oo. Currently i am down to 5 Minutes and only 1 entry, to ensure if this could be a valid Workaround. If i get the Problem again with this Settings, i will repeat the paste-function for 5 Minutes to see if i get the "Windows clipboard value". :-)
I have some new informations. 1.) When i get the error, the clipboard values does not repair itself. After 10, 30, 60, .. secounds doing nothing else, i still have the old Content. 2.) I also get the problem, when "size of cached objects" is down to 1. 3.) When i close all writer instances and calc is still open, then the restart does not work. I have to close all oo-instances to reset the paste function. To reconstruct the Problem, someone should try the following Situation. 1.) Stress Memory - Use Windows 10 64bit, Kasperky IS 2016 (if possible) - Start IE with 3 Windows and 25 Tabs at all. Use 2 Tabs with Facebook, 12x YouTube, 3x Wikipedia, 3x Google, 5x free choice. - Open 4 times paint, 2 times opened file, 2 times paste copied from webside. - Open Thunderbird and Notepad++ (if installed) 2.) Copy multiple times (30+) different URLs, pictures, formatted text, ... from websides to writer text document and als unformated value to added footernotes. Change the paste pictures textflow to "surrounding" and place them left or right. Maybe this could help to confirm my problem or find "not relevant" difference.
1.) If i restart oo writer, i can paste the "new" clipboard content directly into the document, without recopy. 2.) I have the feeling, that i happens more often, when i copy the title of a YouTube Video and try to paste it unformated. 3.) I noticed a personal skill - sometime i use STRG+C twice within a secound to copy marked text to clipboard.
