Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 126872
[Calc] entry "user-defined" at Format > Print Ranges > Edit... cannot be selected by mouse click
Last modified: 2016-03-14 23:25:46 UTC
I am trying to print the column headers on each page of my spreadsheet. I followed these instructions: Choose Format > Print Ranges > Edit. Click in the dropdown by the Rows to Repeat and select User-Defined. However when I click the dropdown I see User-defined, but the option will not stick when I select it. I am never able to add my range.

I followed simply the description in comment 0. I can confirm the behaviour under Linux/Ubuntu 64. > Choose Format > Print Ranges > Edit. Click in the dropdown by the Rows to Repeat and select User-Defined. When one click at the entry "- user-defined -" the listbox goes back to "- none -". Workaround: To select the entry "- user-defined -" use the scrollwheel or the cursor keys.
Maybe the actual behaviour needs a better documentation. But it confuses the user. There is no need to select "- user-defined -" at first. @OP: Choose Format > Print Ranges > Edit. Then click into the inputbox and select cells from the desired row(s). Now the listbox changes automatically to "- user-defined -".
Thank you for your responses! I was able to get this to work!
