Description Alexander 2016-03-24 13:07:19 UTC
When I downloaded Calc on my Windows 10 tablet, it worked fine on one document. But when I closed it and reopened the app, all the sheets come up for a very short while and then disappear always leaving me with the black screen with just Open and New buttons. I tried uninstalling the app and downloading it again and it only works on the first sheet once again and after that just don't open.

Your bug report is being closed as NOT_AN_ISSUE due to a lack of information which is needed in order to accurately reproduce and confirm the problem. We encourage you to retest your bug against the latest release. If the issue is still present in the latest stable release, we need the following information:

a) Provide details of your system including your operating system and the latest version of AOO that you have confirmed the bug to be present

b) Provide a step-by-step procedure to reproduce (the simpler will be the better)

c) Provide any test case(s) which will help us confirm the problem (like a sample document)

d) Provide screenshots of the problem if you think it might help

Once all of this is done, please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED and we will attempt to reproduce the issue.

Screenshot

This is the only screen I get. When I click on either Open or the only file that's saved on this page, it quickly blinks white and comes back to this very screen.

1. System type: 32-bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Home
2. I click on Calc app icon, it downloads for several seconds showing Calc logo, then it sets to the screen of which I am attaching a picture. When I try to open an .xls file either from New, Open or the one that's saved on this screen, it quickly blinks showing empty Calc table for half a second and returns to the same screen. I tried deleted and reinstalling the app, it works on one file and then goes back to the same problem.
Settings buttons would open an empty window on the right with nothing in it.

That is an XSLX file.

Where did you get the "OpenOffice Calc" program? That does not look like Apache OpenOffice at all.

If you obtained the program from the Microsoft Office Store, from a publisher named "OpenOffice" that is not Apache OpenOffice but an imposter. The link to OpenOffice.org by that producer is not authorized and the Apache OpenOffice web site is not the web site of that producer, whoever it is.

Please use the support link for so-called "OpenOffice Calc" on its Microsoft Store page. Then complain to Microsoft. You can do that on the Store page too.

Unfortunately, this is not an issue we can deal with although the Apache Trademark officials are aware of it.

When opening the screenshot - even when it is very dark - look at the top left corner. The symbol is very common in apps for smartphones and mobile devices; to reach the main menu for, e.g., settings.

But this doesn't exist in Apache OpenOffice which is a desktop application.

Summary:
The reporter does not use the software we are creating and support here but something different. IMHO orcmid is having the right guess.
