Can you reproduce this with the current 4.1.3 development build? https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openoffice/4.1.3/binaries/ If so, can you attach the whole crash report (remove personal sensitive data)?
Created attachment 85701 [details] OpenOffice Crash Report The crash seems specific to certain MAC hardware. I own several MACs and the only one crashing is this make and model. There are also similar posts on LibreOffice community sites. There are similar post with the same hardware on Apple community sites: https://discussions.apple.com/message/30719553#message30719553
(In reply to Jochen Hager from comment #2) > Created attachment 85701 [details] > OpenOffice Crash Report As said in comment 1, could you confirm that happens with 4.1.3-dev?
Also tried to version 4.1.3-dev with the same result: immediate crash after hitting Finish in initial windows entering my Name.
(In reply to Jochen Hager from comment #4) > Also tried to version 4.1.3-dev with the same result: immediate crash after > hitting Finish in initial windows entering my Name. Are you make 4.1.3-dev installation from scratch? Crash occurs if the profile is corrupted. Try to reset it.
Created attachment 85716 [details] Apple Crash Report Report sent by Mike http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/openoffice-users/201610.mbox/%3C99562AAC-24B6-4FEF-A7D5-5976F74BF8A9@pobox.com%3E
I cannot reproduce it in my Mac with Intel's integrated graphics processors; this might be reproducible with the AMD Radeon graphics: Mike: Model: iMac17,1, BootROM IM171.0105.B09, 4 processors, Intel Core i7, 4 GHz, 8 GB, SMC 2.34f2 Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395, AMD Radeon R9 M395, PCIe, 2048 MB Jochen: Model: iMac17,1, BootROM IM171.0105.B09, 4 processors, Intel Core i7, 4 GHz, 32 GB, SMC 2.34f2 Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395X, AMD Radeon R9 M395X, PCIe, 4096 MB
Also confirmed on french forum with end-user Model: iMac17,1, BootROM IM171.0105.B09, 4 processors, Intel Core i5, 3,2 GHz, 8 GB, SMC 2.33f10 Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M390, AMD Radeon R9 M390, PCIe, 2048 MB
Same problem on Modellname: iMac Modell-Identifizierung: iMac16,2 Prozessortyp: Intel Core i5 Prozessorgeschwindigkeit: 3,1 GHz Anzahl der Prozessoren: 1 Gesamtanzahl der Kerne: 4 L2-Cache (pro Kern): 256 KB L3-Cache: 4 MB Speicher: 8 GB Boot-ROM-Version: IM162.0206.B01 SMC-Version (System): 2.32f20

Bug 127164 describes the same bug on an iMac but with Intel graphics. Model: iMac16,2, BootROM IM162.0206.B01, 4 processors, Intel Core i5, 3,1 GHz, 8 GB, SMC 2.32f20 Graphics: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200, Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200, Built-In
Sorry, I forgot: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200: Chipsatz-Modell: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 Typ: GPU Bus: Integriert VRAM (dynamisch, maximal): 1536 MB Hersteller: Intel (0x8086) Geräte-ID: 0x1622 Versions-ID: 0x000a Metal: Unterstützt
@umsonster+bugzilla: can you attach the Apple Crash report log in plain text format? Thanks.
On french forum, an end-user found a workaround. In system preferences > display > color: profile changed with Apple RGB or ColorMatch RGB Crash vanished. Maybe help
It works for me (using "Profil Generique RVB" ) on Model: iMac16,2, BootROM IM162.0206.B01, 4 processors, Intel Core i5, 3,1 GHz, 8 GB, SMC 2.32f20 Graphics: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200, Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200, Built-In from Issue 127164
I forgot : Thanks !
(In reply to tguilhem from comment #17) > I forgot : Thanks ! That's good to know that there is a workaround. Thanks to you for your effort to try out.
Changing Color Profiles worked for me! Crash ist gone. There were two modified color profile in the selection box. I picked a generic iMAC profile from the selection of preset profile. Voila! Distortion gone and no more crashes.
