Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 127653
Update Menu Bar icon should be in black or white to match the style of other icons
Last modified: 2018-03-31 17:03:16 UTC
Created attachment 86317 [details] Menu bar on Mac Currently, Updater Menu Bar icon is in colour and stands out from all other icons. It is not acceptable and any aesthetically-conscious Mac users will suffer unless they hide it using Bartender. Icon should be in white or black, depending on theme and blend with other menu bar icons. See screenshot attached.
Changing Issue type to Enhancement.
Well in your screenshot, I see that UK flag is colored. So, what is criteria to know if an icon must be colored or not? For me, not a bug
Hi oooforum, The flag is an exception and it's off on regular people's computers (who are not multilingual). It's faux pas to colour menu bar icons. At least in Mac land. It's how the consistency is achieved on this OS. Coloured icon stands in the way and it's not meant to.
