top left origina .ods, top center .xls on Excel, and on bottom center .xls opened with OpenOffice calc

1)new file, format .ods on cacl timestamp.ods, and timestamp.xls

2) any cell, if(b1<>"";b1;now()) timestamp. Iterations active to avoid error.
2b) if(a1<>"";if(b1<>"";b1;now());""), and I just place an (x) on A1 for timestamp

3) save file as timestamp.ods, and timestamp.xls format

4) open timestamp.xls format with openoffice calc, and timestamp states now() not
when it was really made.

5) open timestamp.xls on Microsoft Excel and timestamp is correct. No issue here.

6) save timestamp.xls on openoffice, and all information will get lost.

7) issue step (4) If I just want to make a quick change to the file. I am not able to, because timestamp has change. And I would have to open again the timestamp.ods, and save it as timestamp.xml again, and yet never be able to really open .xml file to edit anything bacause of timestamp changing, that is really a hassle, and needs to be fixed.

This should work in Libreoffice.

Ok, I see you have a title "AOO is Dead", Do you meant the support for OppenOffice is out the window? And if that is the case why keep making updates For it. I came and ask about OpenOffice and not about libreoffice, or are you trying to tell me that libreoffice and openoffice is one in the same, if that is the case, why go throught the hassel of updating openoffice, onces again. I know many other programs can do, and resolve my issue. I believe this section was made to report, a problem, and be able to suggest an update or a fixup. If I knew the whole core of the program I would go and do it my self, and then just posted. And another reason I keep using openoffice, is because that is the only program that is being installed at work and can't change it.
So in advance, I would really be thankful if this was fixed on openOffice. Libreoffice I am using at home. But where I do more work is at the worksite.
