'Format - Page - Page' - artefact in Preview Field
Last modified: 2020-09-22 08:01:40 UTC
Created attachment 86976 [details] Language Settings for this issue SUMMARY: Changing margins in the Preview Field in 'Format - Page - Page tab' may produce an unexpected artefact due to a display redraw bug. Issue occurs in more than one of AOO components. To produce it in AOO Writer, Draw and Impress in 'Tools - Options - Language Settings - Languages' two check boxes have to be marked in "Enhanced language support" area. (see attached file "Options") In AOO Calc that's not needed. The term "tag" in the following description means the element displayed in the Preview Field of the Page Style dialog. In Calc this is the symbol of a spreadsheet, in other AOO components - "ABC -->". Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch AOO Component (Writer, Draw, Impress or Calc) 2. Choose 'Format - Page - Page tab' 3. Make sure - where applicable - that page layout (in "Layout settings" area) is set to "Right and left". 4. Switch the focus to the "Left" field (in the "Margins" area). 5. Press and hold Up Arrow key till the tag reaches the right limit. 6. Switch the focus to the "Top" field (in the "Margins" area). 7. Press and hold Down Arrow key till the tag reaches the top limit. 8. Press and hold Up Arrow key till the tag reaches the bottom limit. Screenshots presenting the final effect are in the attached file "Artefact_1". File "Artefact_2" shows more advanced form of artefact (changing of "text orientation"). -------------------------------------------------------------------- Configuration: - Windows 7, 64-bit, Home Premium, PL - AOO420m3(Build:9822) - Rev. 19e634d3f9 2020-08-31 18:03 - CYGWIN_NT-10.0 x86_64 - Development Test Build (issue also observable in AOO 4.1.7)
