Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13059
a problem when typing hebrew and other symbols
Last modified: 2008-05-17 23:21:20 UTC
When typing hebrew and other symbols - like numbers and "?" "." - the language is probabli changed to English - and the font used it the font defined for English. The hebrew font chntains these characters and the apperence of these charactres in the hebrew font is different then the apperence in the english font. More annoying is that the size is different - meaning - if I type hebrew with a font with size 70 - when I type numbers - the font size is changed to 14.
Created attachment 5476 [details] samples of the problem
Since it deals with hebrew
Thank you for using and supporting OOo. Does this problem still exist in 1.1 Beta 2?
Yes, This Probelm Still exist on 1.1Beta 2
This phenomenon still occurs in the 1.1RC3 release. whenever there is a mixed (hebrew+numbers) (hebrew+special characters) the font type, size etc. change to the english type, size etc. although these characters appear in the hebrew font and look totally different from the graphics for these characters in the english font. Not to mention that the size defference is really anoying when you type header and have different size characters when typing hebrew and other (numbers, mathematical symbols +,-,(),*) characters.
