Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
I have a presentation doc that create by OpenOffice. When I try to print it to HP 4MV printer, there is some wrong in the print out. Already tried OO 1.01, 1.02 and OO 1.1 beta

I can't reproduce the bug. Please tell me what is wrong in the printout.
When I try to print this document to HP4MV, there are some lines disappear in the table (right and/or bottom line).
Sorry but I don't have the printer you mentioned. I printed the document on a HP-lj-5mp and the print was ok. Please test the bug in OOo1.1Beta2 again and tell me if the bug still occures. If it is possible print the file with other printers and tell me if the bug also occures on other printer or if it only occures with the hp4mv.

I reopen the issue.
I print the file in the ps-format and load it with Ghostview I get a ghost view message. Please have a look.
Created attachment 6615 [details] Postscript file created with the hp4mv printer driver.
Yup.... that is the problem... that I found.... And very appreciate your hard work... and this whole team... (someone solved another problem for me...)
Tony, could you please specify _exactly_ what is missing on which table (and on which page this table is located, that is). I displayed Christian's PostScript output with Ghostview, got no error message, and found no obvious missing lines. Christian, which printer driver did you use to generate the PostScript output? Does the HP4MV driver has an option to generate PostScript rather than PCL?
Ah... Sorry..... write the detail now.... P.1. Suppose there is a vertical line on the right of 2nd column. P.3. Suppose there is 28 square... and some more lines missing. P.4. Many edges disappear... If compare it with the sxi doc. will see the different.
Ah, okay. On certain zoom levels in ghostview, I now see the problem (on other zoom levels, OTOH, the output is perfectly alright). After having an intense look at the generated PostScript files, I'm pretty confident that the problem is a, so to say, line width of 0 for the border lines. As these borders are not drawn as lines, but as rectangles, have to have a look at the calc code why they draw it like this. For reference, chosing e.g. Apple Laserwriter and printing to PostScript file does not show this problem.
