Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13774
Allow direct editing of formula's text
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:37:45 UTC
It's much more convenient for math typer to be able to treat formula object as a text ie when editing the text with the cursor and reaching a formula object it would be a great improvement if it'll automatically set the cursor at the "formula source" and when exiting the formula source with the cursor, the cursor will automatically step to the character next to the source. Example, where CAPITALS will represent mathematical objects, and the | will represent the cursor. text: we'll assu|me MATHEMATICALOBJECT is an odd number moving cursor to the right and into the mathematical object: we'll assume MATHEMATICALOBJECT is an odd number in a textbox below: A|_{B^2} some more moves left: we'll assume MATHEMATICALOBJECT is an odd number in a textbox below: A_{B^2}| now move another character left and back to the text: we'll assume MATHEMATICALOBJECT |is an odd number This is very very helpfull as one can type math without using the mouse.
MRU->ES: This sounds like an interesting enhancement regarding "Accessibility".
SBA: Reassigned to Bettina from the User Experience team for consideration.
