Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13973
I cannot rename a slide as "Slide [number]"
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:17 UTC
I create a new presentation, containing only one slide, then I write something. Then I rename the slide, e.g. I rename "Slide 1" as "First Slide". If I try to rename the slide again to choose the previous default name, i.e. "Slide 1", then the "OK" button of the "Rename Slide" window is not active, hence I cannot rename the slide. I have the same problem with presentations containing more than on slide.
This is reproduceable in version 1.1 beta and in a current internal version. Reassigned to Christian. Please have a look.
will have a look at this one

"According to the OpenOffice.org roadmap (http://tools.openoffice.org/releases) this issue was retargeted to OOo Later."
The user-entered slide name is specifically prevented from starting with "Slide " (in English anyway), to try and avoid duplicate slide names. See Issue 48374
Using Windows Vista SP2 and Open Office version 3.1.1 OOO310m19 (Build:9240), Been able to replicate the slide renaming problem. However, found some inserting points. 1) Create a new Presentation. Rename it to "Something" 2) Try to rename it to "Slide"("S" should be capital) + Something . You will notice as you write down the "Slide" word and you press space-bar after "Slide" word (With Capital "S"), the "Ok" button of the Rename Slide becomes in-active. However if you write down the Slide word like "slide" and then you press the space bar nothing happens the Ok button stays active. Its happening only by writing the word "Slide"
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
