Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13976
Messed up page-layout in document with huge tables in sections
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
I have a document with the following structure: Title <two-column-section> huge table empty paragraph </two-column-section> and so on... When I reopen the document, the layout is totally messed up (and looks every time different than before): - some empty pages are inserted - on some pages one column is empty - column on the left is longer than the column on the right - etc
Created attachment 5986 [details] example file
Created attachment 5987 [details] printed version of the document
reassigned to fme@openoffice.org set status to new @fme: confirmed with OpenOffice1.1RC3
.
Created attachment 9708 [details] demonstrates a severe problem with page layout of large text blocks in tables
in a number of MS Word files I received from a client with large text blocks in tables, which are larger than one page, the layout of all pages is mangled, OOo beeps when trying to display the bottom of the table, and some text becomes impossible to edit. Using "View->Online Layout" seems to show all text, but creates tons of additional spacing and seems to modify the document layout permanently. These problems are forcing me to install Windows and MS Office to continue my relationship with this client :(((((
FME: Changed prio.
Re-targeted to "OO later".
