Description mehlng 2003-05-04 15:53:23 UTC
Writing a BiDi paragraph with the text-size 14 causes the text to cross page
delimiters.
I tried it with couple of fonts - keeps happenning - maybe it happens with more
text sizes.
Saving the text saves the distortion.

As HD has returned I want to ask him: PLEASE fix this CRITICAL issue
in the 1.1 time.
It is very important to allow ME users a proper use of OOo, if all
those issues are fixed I might be able to sell some OOo in Israel.
This is not a special enhancement - it's a vital critical bug that
render OOo useless please fix it quickly I think that despite prvious
comment it is possible. if not please explain me (I'm a third year CS
student) why isn't it possible.
Thanks

I downloaded the doc in question and opened it in OO 1.1 Beta2 on SuSE
8.2 Linux (using XFree86 4.3.0).
The document displays perfect right-aligned text und all (sensible)
zoom factors (30% - 200%).
Is that a Windows only problem???
Comment 9 mehlng 2003-06-22 07:44:52 UTC
I suspect this is not a win32 problem. This bug happened quite alot
and didn't happen constatnly. IE some text didn't passed delimiters
some did. PLease try typing alot of Hebrew text with different fonts
and sizes.

I do suspect however this is a font meter, I assume you've used Java
sun-lucid fonts. I used Helevetica Windows font, this font problems
happened before look for similar problems in my reported bugs -
there's a comment summrising all font glitches problems that are
probably caused by font metrics problem.

Anyhow thanks for the comment
Comment 10 mehlng 2003-06-22 07:51:12 UTC
I was wrong
It was probably fixed with the Beta2 release - can't remake it right now.

HDU->US: Let's clean up... please verify in a recent build and
close.

Comment 13 ulf.stroehler 2003-07-10 08:31:58 UTC
verified in OOo 1.1 RC.
Comment 14 ulf.stroehler 2004-08-09 15:48:08 UTC
Not reproducible also in master workspace 680_m47. Closing.
