Description magrawal 2003-05-09 20:10:28 UTC
This feature request is based on the following use case: I find that the module
in OO that is most useful for my 6-year-old son is Draw. Often times, his
teacher wants him to print something with some text, some pictures, or maybe he
just wants to draw something. OO Draw is the right software for these tasks.

I am thinking of ways by which OO could be made far more useful for this group.
One standard project is creating greeting cards. How about adding a theme called
greeting cards in Draw with many standard images?

The great advantage of making Draw extremely friendly to 6-year-olds is that
this will help rapidly seed the market. They don't need Calc or writer - but
they can use Draw. Greeting cards are one great of getting their buy-in.

Are you looking for an AutoPilot to create the Greeting Card with? ...
or are you looking for new Templates?

We can extend the range of existing paper formats (greeting cards,
postcards) in Draw, so that a right format still exists for starting
creating such cards.
