Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 1464
Presentation of selected objects
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
When selecting a text-box in 'edit' mode (i.e. the cursor is inside the text- box, modifying the actual text), the area border is shown. When selecting the same box (or more than one object) in non-edit mode, the border disappears. Additionally, only the 'surrounding square' of a group of selected objects gets the handles, so it is not possible to determine how many objects the user actually has selected Objects would be much easier to handle if the box (or handles) would still be visible round each object, even if the user selects more than one. Border/Handle style could be different for objects of a selection group and the group handles themselves.

Good idea.

The target is reset to Office later, as the changed drawing layer is not a keafeature for the Q.
