Description Unknown 2003-06-03 00:03:10 UTC
I very often find myself with a word processor and spreadsheet open at the same
time. I usually turn off spellchecking in the spreadsheet, but leaving it
turned on in the word processor. Having a single parameter for spellchecking
(and probably other paramters) across all of the apps makes it difficult to tune
each app to the tasks being undertaken.

Please note: There is another issue #9938 suggesting to store the state of
spellchecking (on/off) with each document.

I second that spellchecking=on for word processor and spellchecking=off for
spreadsheet at one time is a common use case.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

I agree that a permanent option Spellcheck=off for Calc is needed. I have a huge list of names and alpha codes all covered in red.
If I turn off spellcheck then move to a doc in Writer I need it on.
