Windows version displays and prints  sqrt{a}, and nroot{a}{b} correctly.  
However the linux fersion leaves the check mark off of the front end of the 
square root symbol, leaving only the horizontal line.  This same problem 
exists for screen display,  export to PDF, and print.

Issue already fixed. There has been a problem with the OpenSymbol Font
delivered with OO 1.1 Beta. Delete this font and replace it by the one
provided in issue #12557 or use OO 1.1 Bewta2.
