In a simple expression like sqrt 2 or 4 cdot 2^{3x} = 16 sqrt 2 the sqrt symbol 
is not displayed (just like de cdot symbol)

MRU->HDU: I think this is another problem regarding displaying Unicode
symbols on Win98. Even after using the fixed OpenSymbol font from
issue #12557 you have an distorted view of the symbols.

With OOo31 the Win98 port is no longer maintained.
