The tool bars when undocked to be able to windowshade
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:37:47 UTC
Like the stylist I wul dlike to be able to windowshade teh tool bars when I have them undocked wo I can just tuck them out of teh way until needed. This is a convience issue.
Hi, I think Jim's suggestion is very good. It is a convenience issue but IMHO it is also a very good market differentiator. Rollup windows unfortunately have been removed (sorry dependent on the Windowing software external to OO) from OO1.1Beta2 and was immediately noticed by a number of people on the users list so they are used. Extending the rollup approach sensibly to other windows may make the product easier to use. This approach could be sensibly applied to: All toolbars Tearable pop out windows such as available from the Main Toolbar. At the moment the application of rollups is inconsistent. For example in Draw the Options Bar does rollup, but the the Color Bar does rollup. Rollups are generally a high end feature associated with products such as CorelDraw. As such people take a while to realise they are available as they are a new and novel feature. When they start to use them they generally really like the feature. Just thought I would take the time to add my thoughts. Thanks Jim Kelvin
