When creating a new untitled Writer document,
if you insert an Author field, the Author field
doesn't appear until you save the document.

ie Insert, Fields, Author shows a blank on a
newly created Untitled document.

After saving to test, it shows 'Max Kennedy' in
the author field.

(Note: tools, options, User Data, name is set on my
system to Max Kennedy.  Your results may widely vary :)

The "Author" you see under "Insert - Fields - Author" corresponds to
"Insert - Fields - Other - [DocumentInfo] - Created - Author" who is
the "creator" of the document.
As a document is only created aftert having beeing saved This author
only appears after having saved the file (just like a "Last Printed"
field will be empty until you print the doc)
To have the name of the *current user*, do "Insert - Fields - Other -
[Document] - Author".

This is a bug, and I'm reopening the issue as such.

First, if what you said was accurate, than 
insert - fields - other - documentinfo - created
time and date shouldn't show anything either until the document
is saved.

But it does.  The only thing that doesn't show is insert - fields -
other - documentinfo - created Author.   This is a bug.

Futhermore, I agree that "Insert - Fields - Other -
[Document] - Author". works like the user expects and as it is 
labeled in the menu item.  Instead of having two slightly different 
functions with similar names, perhaps the last one should be used and 
the first discarded, since it isn't even working like the time or 
date function does in the documentinfo, created section.

1)->Please decide if we want to show *author*, date and time *before*
the document is saved or hide them all.
2)->Please give explanations about the difference between:
a)"Insert - Fields - Other - [Document] - Author":
b)"Insert - Fields - Other - [Document] - Sender - Name"
c)"Insert - Fields - Other - [DocumentInfo] - Author"

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
