Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16024
Format not kept in first letter changes
Last modified: 2003-11-27 09:52:27 UTC
If I change the first letter of a word that has different formatting than the words around it, it takes on the formatting of the words around it, rather than the word that it's in. For example, if I the word "example" at the beginning of this sentence was italic or bold while the rest of the sentence was notmal and I placed the cursor between the e and x and backspaced over the e and retyped it, it would lose its special formatting.
Please try using the latest OpenOffice 1.1 Final , you can download it from www.openoffice.org many bug fixes and enhancements since your version and 1.1 Final . If the problem still happend in 1.1 please report back It maybe not yet solve your Issue, but it worth to try. Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test it/faster to confirm. (Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more time) Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is small, but we still able to see the problem.
