1. Open new doc and write Heading 1 (line feed) Heading 2
2. Define "Heading 1" as paragraph style heading 1
3. Define "Heading 2" as paragraph style heading 2
4. In a Header, Insert : Field : Other : Chapter
5. Choose any format
6. Select Layer "2", then click "Insert"

"Heading 2" should appear, instead "Heading 1" appears.

I see the same problem.
Comment 2 h.ilter 2003-07-08 11:41:59 UTC
Reassigned to ES
Comment 3 eric.savary 2003-07-09 11:40:36 UTC
ES->MMP: as discussed, this behaviour is in keeping with the current
concept (fields get the outline placed before them). But we should
change this behaviour which is IMHO wrong. Fields should display the
on the page *next* coming chapter.
Comment 4 matthias.mueller-prove 2003-07-09 15:15:34 UTC
yes, I agree. We should fix it.
Comment 5 matthias.mueller-prove 2004-02-19 11:29:36 UTC
Eric is working on the specification.
Comment 6 eric.savary 2004-05-19 13:13:56 UTC
No resource to achieve this for OOo 2.0, to bad! :(
Retarget to OOo later.
added keyword "8,5" to dev notes

string review done. Coming via mail. Returning issue to you for reassigning for
implementation because it is not a plain string review issue and I don't want it
to get lost/untracked

I hope you don't mind asking me the following:

what is the status of this issue? It seems about to me finished, at least
that is what I conclude from the commands:

Last update concerning code seem around sep 2005. Is there any possibility
to have this enhancement in OO.org-2.2 or 2.3?

MD: added md to cc
Comment 25 eric.savary 2008-04-07 08:55:22 UTC
@ AMA: can we include this to a Writer I-Team for 3.1?
More than a "new feature", it's a pretty old bug.
