Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16564
Import of DXF files is incorrect with arcs.
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:17:14 UTC
On Open office 1.0.3 the import of a dxf file issued by ARC+(cad drawing software) is not possible. But now on Open office 1.1 beta import is ok but not for arcs (portion of circles). If I import an arc representing a 1/4 of a complete circle, the imported drawing in OOO shows the opposite, a 3/4 circle and the 1/4 missing was the 1/4 of circle draft in the DXF file. I join a DXF file an a SXD import+jpg of how the file should look like.

This is reproduceable in a current internal version. In OO1.1.beta2 I cannot load the dxf file at all but in a 1.1RC it works but shows the described behaviour. Sven, please have a look.
Reassigned to Sven.
The bugdoc is containing arcs having a inverted extrusion direction, we are ignoring this. I will fix this problem.

Created attachment 12053 [details] Example AutoCAD file that does not import correctly from AutoCAD version 13 to RC5 Hebrew.
I have attached two files, created in two different formats (AutoCAD 12 and 13) but otherwise identical, the former being imported correctly to my version of OO (1.1 RC5 Hebrew), the latter appearing without the arcs. An image of how it should appear is available on request should this be necessary. The files were created using SolidEdge ver 14.
