only first page displays of 7 page Word or RTF document

I received the document to be attached in Word format. When opened in Word it is seven pages long. When i open it in Linux OOo RC1, only page 1 displays correctly, and page 2 displays as blank. The other five pages are missing. When i use the scroll bar and mouse to scroll to the second page, my computer's bell buzzes. If i put the cursor in the document and use the arrow key to move the cursor down, the cursor moves to places *in between* pages 1 and 2. In Word, i saved the document in RTF format. When i open the RTF version in Linux OOo RC1, i get the exact same behavior. To view the document in OOo i had to save it in Word as a WordPerfect document then convert it back to Word format using WordPerfect.

OD (01.08.2003): Proposed cause of the described defect: the Word document contains a table with one column and two row - there are only two cells. The first cell contains the complete text. The Word document is imported correct, but OpenOffice can not yet break such a big table cell at the page end. This will be changed in the next version. OD->bulbul: Workaround for Your Word document: open it in Word and use menu 'Table - Convert - Table to text...' and save it. This changed Word document will be layouted very well in OpenOffice.
