I'm using a Wheelmouse -  it's very comfortable to use this scolling-by-wheel
feature to overread his own just-written document, or jumping to the right font
when font-selectbox has opened. But actually this scrolling is done in 5 or 6
line-step, which is much too fast to keep the overview :)

It would be nice, if you add a function (may be in Options-Dialog) similar to
Mozilla (Preferences -> Advanced -> MouseWheel) where User can set this scolling
speed or just keep system's default. It should also be possible to define
behavior when using modifier keys 'ctrl', 'alt', 'shift'.

SBA: Reassigned to Bettina from the User Experience team for consideration.

This task could represent Issue 21925, Issue 17162, and Issue 16736 , all of
which are requests for horizontal scrolling by shift + mouse wheel.

I think a new configuration entry at Tools->Options...-> OpenOffice.org->Mouse
would be pretty useful.

It could take the existing options out of "View", and incorporate
configuration for this issue, Issue 30704 (another horizontal scrolling
issue), and whatever other mouse-related options you care to mention.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

This is an operating system setting.
