Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18650
annoying focus behavior of font-color dialog
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:39 UTC
If you want to change the color of some text, you now get a dialog instead of a menu. It stays on top. That's OK. But then when you poke something in the drawing level, the dialog goes away. That's OK too. Now poke back in the text, and the dialog jumps back up and gets focus, your click on the text is ignored (the cursor isn't placed where you click). Here's a really nasty scenario: 1. change the color of some text on some page. Leave the color dialog up. 2. insert a new slide. Doesn't matter what format, as long as it has a "click here for title" area. 3. try clicking in the title area. The dialog pops up, and you are not inserting. You type, and nothing happens. 4. click back in the title area. If you don't hit the exact insertion point, all that happens is that focus goes back to the color dialog. You still can't type. You can do this all day and not be able to type unless you either close the color dialog or manage to hit the insertion point in the title area.
Reassinged to Christian.

I can reproduce the bug. On Windows the behaviour is ok. Please have a look.
