The DataSourceBrowser implementation supports the XSelectionSupplier interface,
which is an easy way to change the displayed object. Unfortunately, this is
currently not documented in the IDL, and thus not at
http://api.openoffice.org/docs/common/ref/com/sun/star/sdb/DataSourceBrowser.html.
