Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19343
Only one style per textbox possible, using stylist and buttons
Last modified: 2006-12-02 18:12:27 UTC
As in RC 4 the stylist does not work anymore at all, I think that this bug is dependent on issue 19340. In RC 3 It was the way that when you had a textbox with text in it and used the bullet-button in the toolbar, this was applied to the whole textbox, even though only some lines where selected. Using the Stylist with some selected lines resulted in applying that style to the whole textbox as well. It seems that it is possible to assign different formats, using "hard-coding", i.e. using the menus. This bug was confirmed in the mailinglist. It seems that OO handles the textbox as one paragraph and thus assigns one style to it using the stylist, or buttons on the toolbar. In order neither to have to hardcode every other line, nor insert a new textbox for every new line in a different style OO should be able to assign different styles in a textbox, i.e. treat a single line paragraph as it should be.
Reassigned to Christian.
I think this is an feature maybe duplicate to issue 19340. Please have a look.
Working with OOo2.0.4 WinXP, I also came across this problem. However, this issue is essentially a duplicate of Issue 19340, which covers being able to apply styles to individual sections of text rather than just the whole textbox. Marking dupe and closing. Cheers, Andrew. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 19340 ***
