Product Requirement 
Better Interoperability with MS Formatting, margins, indents, justifications

Customer Need/Problem
In documents with complicated formatting exported from Geordi the formatting
appears skewed and does not appear as in Microsoft. Justifications/alignment and
complicated margin settings i.e. Brochure created in MS Word doesn't translate
well and make document appear poorly formatted. Indents such as standard,
double, shift tab, and hanging. Keep with next paragraph. Shadows, drop caps,
background colors, borders and shadows, watermarks. Columns

Product Concept
A) As part of the 'Numbering and Bullet Enhancements' specification, negative
indents will be supported for numberings, bullets and outlines. If a regular or
outline numbered paragraph has a first line indent set, this will be used rather
than the one set in the numbering rule. In addition to this, Writer will support
tabs into a number/bullet label like Word does.  Paragraphs that have a heading
(i.e. a style that is contained in the outline numbering definition) and a
regular numbering applied will not be included in outline numbering any longer.
The outline numbering will be switchable off for single paragraphs.  
B) The shadow/border implementation in the Word filter will be completed.  
C) Drop-Cap support will be added to the Word filter. 
D) Background images will be allowed to fill an entire page rather than only a
pages text area. 
E) Sections will get (possibly negative) margins, so that they might get wider
than a pages text area
