Please consider adding the ability to specify output formats other than OOo
Writer when performing a mail merge, preferably all the formats available when
saving a Writer document, as well as PDF.

Hello sjakob,

the new mail merge wizard is available for public testing now. It can export the
mail merge documents to many formats. In case you want to have a look at it,
please feel free to download the latest snapshot build of the developement
series leading to OOo 2.0.
You can get it from:
http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html.

Please let us know if it works as desired by posting a short comment to this issue.
Thank you,
Max Weber
