Description nomad128 2003-10-01 18:46:43 UTC
MySQL integration seems to require that a data source have a Windows DSN. I'm
filing this as a defect because it seems so counter-intuitive for anyone used to
"mysql -h <ip_address>", which is probably a large # of MySQL users.
Comment 1 Frank Schönheit 2003-10-02 09:34:34 UTC
I claim this isn't a defect, since the current solution is working,
but a request for enhancement (in particular for ODBC/JDBC-less access
to MySQL).

I strongly doubt than any Sun-sponsored work will go into this in a
forseeable future, but nevertheless, it's a valid RFE.

Comment 6 Mechtilde 2009-07-19 17:43:30 UTC
this seems to be fixed as there are good connections via MySQL ODBC/JDBC and the
beta version of the nativ mysql driver

so it works for me
