Description poelzg 2003-10-02 14:26:20 UTC
when looking to the graphics in a specific doc file, the embedded graphics show
strong distortions.
I would like to attach the file, but don't know how to do it

Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test
it/faster to confirm.
(Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more
time)
Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is
small, but we still able to see the problem.

Visit the url of your issue, Login, and visit this issue again, and
you will find the way to attach the file.

Hi poelzg,

thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice...

to attach a sample document do the following:
1.) login
2.) on the left side click on "Find an Issue"
3.) on the following page there is a field with a button on top
right: enter the number of the Issue and click the button "Jump

      to Issue"
4.) On the page with the entered Issue click on "Create a new
attachment" (a few lines above the field "Additional Comments")
5.) click on "Browse" to find the sample document and open it
6.) enter a short description
7.) select "Binary file (application/octet-stream)" or enter the
      MIME-Type in the field Other...
8.) click "Submit"
I hope this helps you to attach the file ... :)

This problem is known. It is due to the fact that Word and Writer have
different algorithms to calculate the "contour wrapping" of the
graphic. When you turn off the "contour" after import, the graphic
should look fine.
To get compatiility, Issue 17474 was started.
