Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 20673
Chengin column name while copying a table
Last modified: 2006-05-31 14:29:06 UTC
I've got a DSN connection with a flat file (.cvs) (It's this one: http://ip-to- country.directi.com/node/view/6) and I've got an ODBC connection with a Microsoft Access database. In the database navigation (F4) I attempted to copy (dragg and drop) the flat file table (.cvs) from the flat file datasource to the ODBC datasource. This way I was hoping to create an Access table with the information in the .cvs file. The Copy Table dialog appears and everything goes well untill I reach the Type formatting section. Here I want to change the standard columnnames (C1, C2, C3 etc) into something more understandable. I enter my prefered columnname in the Field name field. Then when I move away from that field (Either with Tab or by selecting the next column) I get an error message saying: Warning! The table cannot be saved because column name "my_column_name" was assigned twice. I tried different (unique) names but the message keeps showing up.
fixed in CWS fs002
argh. Wrong action taken, re-opening
correcting sub component (see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/describecomponents.cgi?component=Database%20access, please), and default owner
CLU: i can repro that in 680m7 1. create a text and an access odbc data source 2. copy table from text to access ds and change a field name -> error message: table cannot be saved because column name was assigned twice
.
fs->oj: your dialog
change subcomponent to 'none'
