Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 21509
Calc not previewing/printing some sheets
Last modified: 2003-10-22 09:54:09 UTC
Hi Folks, I have imported an Excel spreadsheet, with 13 tabs (sheets). I can go to any of the sheets, and enter data, but sheets 1 - 7 and 11 - 13 will not appear in preview, or print, even if I select the sheet using the select options in print. I cannot find any protection on these sheets, and can't find any built-in or user imposed limitations of the printing of these sheets, or on the number of sheets in a spreadsheet. Properties show 13 sheets, 6379 cells, and 8 pages. If I run preview, and go thru the 8 pages, sheets 8 and 9 take up 6 pages (3 each), with sheet 10 using 2 pages, with the third page missing from the preview. If I open the same spreadsheet in Excel, and follow the same criteria, the sheets preview/print just fine. I am running OpenOffice 1.1.0, on Windows XP Pro. I have attached the spreadsheet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can Reproduce the problem on OpenOffice 1.1 (default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1. (And MS Office XP Sp2). It is real problem I change the version to OOo 1.1 as reported by reporter and I try using 1.1 if we open the file, and page preview. we will not see sheets 1 - 7 and 11 - 13 in the preview. it start with July in the preview. I didnt try to print it, but if in print preview is not available probability is not printed too
This is a duplicate of issue 4063. Excel prints all sheets but Calc prints only those sheets containing a defined print range. There are three defined print ranges in this document - see Calc->Insert->Names->Define. There is a fix in progress, meanwhile there are two workarounds: a. remove the print ranges in Excel (File->Print Area->Clear) b. add a print range to all sheets in Calc *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 4063 ***
