I have attached a screenshot and a sample document where you can see that the
chart preview shows a corrupt chart.
(The preview in the attached screenshot shows the chart WITHOUT changed parameters!)

I see same chart as your screenshot. 
can you explain more what is corrupt, ETC.
Please explain more about your problem, your information is not enough 
to investigate the problem.

what OS you ae using, etc please correct the data

Just compare the preview with the real chart in the screenshot. The 
preview is corrupt! To reproduce this just open the attached document 
and re-open the window with the chart's settings where the preview is 
shown...

Should no longer be a problem as we no longer have a preview in the new chart
(but a life-preview instead)

With the new chart implementation starting with SRC680m213 there is no separat
chart preview anymore (see specification at
http://specs.openoffice.org/chart/wizards/ChartWizard.odt). So this problem does
not occur anymore. The next official version including this change will be OOo 2.3.

Closing as "verified" (because the mentioned dialog no longer exists) in master
