When I'm opening large documents this takes some time (both in writer and 
spreadsheet). This is not a problem, but once or twice I assumed the program 
didn't start at all (when it was just busy working for me). Is it possible to 
add hourglasses when the program is starting up or when it is loading objects 
etc?

latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
