Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 22016
ESC behaves inconsistently when inserting formulas
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
(1) > Insert > Object > Formula [type something] > ESC > ESC. Note that the cursor is behind the formula (when the wrapping space hasn´t been changed in the formula frame style). (2) > F11 > Frame styles > rightclick Formula > modify > wrap > change all wrapping spaces to "0". Now repeat step (1). Note that the cursor is before the formula. Setting wrapping spaces to 0 is a sensible thing to do when inserting formulas into text lines, anchored as characters. But because of the different ESC key behaviour one needs an extra "->" key to be able to continue writing. Ideally the cursor would always be placed after an object when deselecting it with ESC.
confirmed on OOo1.1 after talking to ama reassigned to fme set status to new set target to office later
