Description Unknown 2003-11-17 09:09:43 UTC
When I switch back from a software(e.g. microsoft Paint) to OpenOffice.org,a
window pop up indicating :-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                           Program Error

                           Application Error

                            Close
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I only can press "Close" button and as I press it, all the OpenOffice.org
windows will close up and I need to execute the program again.

My friend Pc currently using the Windows Xp doesnt consist this problem so far.
So my question is... is my RAM(320 MB) not enough to support the application?
or the Windows 98 OS not compatible with OpenOffice.org if compare to the
Windows XP OS?

Hi,

pls. add some more information concerning the CRASH:
- always
- only with .... -documents opened in OOo
- really only if WRITER is open?
- exact version (why do you use RC5 instead of 1.1.0?)
-
-

this might be related to 15222 or issue 21798?

Please start and watch your WIN98 program RSRCMTR.EXE. Does your crash
happen when resources are "yellow or less?"

It is impossible that the problem is caused by too less RAM

This might be something like a DUP of issue 21798

Please do not assign manually, if you are not absolute sure that you
know what you do ;-)

With the actual available information it will be hopeless to try to
find out the reasons for the problem.

If I will not see any further action as votes, attachments or
confirmations, I will have to close this issue 2003-11-30 as INVALID.

Can you reproduce the problem ?

320 MB is enough, I can run OOo 1.1 on 32MB RAM on P1.
I guess that you have problem on your installation
do you get error message when you install ?
How about try to repair the isntallation.
I try at win 98, win xp without anyproblem, also many other people
already try it.
only win 95 need DCom.

Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test it/faster

to confirm.
(Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more time)
Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is small,

but we still able to see the problem.
