Description 3clips3 2003-11-17 16:38:57 UTC
When document is beaing saved for the first time the first line of the document
(it's title in most cases) should be used as a file name and "Title" in document
properties. It would save lots of typing in some cases.

Can confirm this. However not without adding that the save as dialogue should
still open, with the first line as highlighted suggestion for the file name.
Which then, as it is the default already, will be used as file title.

Hi all!
Please try to implement this feature in OOo 2.4 or in next to 2.4. I don't think
it's too hard.

This issue is a significant issue for users migrating from MS Word. While it
might seem trivial, it's something users seem to find highly irritating and
causes major resistance if OO.o replaces word for a user.

There are some ugly macro workarounds, eg:

http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=20046

but they're far from smooth.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
