Description mmockler 2003-11-18 17:24:23 UTC
When opening a 1.0.2 drawing in the new version 1.1.0, it does not seem to be
formatted completely the same.

I had a document that I made in 1.0.2, and it was fine. I then opened it in
1.1.0 and the text boxes were pushed down a few points in this one example. It
seems that maybe the spacing of paragraphs in text boxes is being increased.
The margins are the same, and nothing seems to be changed preference-wise. Was
there a spacing change made to 1.1.0 that would cause this problem? Any ideas
as to why this is happening?

Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test
it/faster to confirm.
(Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more
time)
Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is
small, but we still able to see the problem.

different/compare it. Thanks

I do not know what you mean by "the screenshot at OOo 1.0.2". I
attached a sample document. Just open the sample using both 1.0.2
and 1.1.0 and you will see the difference.

This is a known bug which will be fixed in OOo1.1.1
THe issue is duplicate to issue 15437

Workaround:

select 'Use printer metrics for document formating' in
'Tools/Options/Presentation/General/Compatibility'

*** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 15437 ***

Not sure of the protocol here: since this isssue has be marked resolved
duplicate should I post here or to the "main" issue (15437)?

Anyway, I tried the suggested workaround but it is ineffective. Any other
suggestions?

Sorry, my mistake.
the correct path for the workaround is :

'Tools/Options/Drawing/General/Compatibility'

because it's a Drawing file and not an Impress file.

The fix is integrated in OOo1.1.1 on Sols, Lin, Win.
This version will be available soon.
