Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 23364
number format problem in .xls files produced by OOffice 1.1
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
wordtogo 6, a word processor for palm OS5, has problems loading .xls file produced by openoffice 1.1: the number format is interpreted as date by wordtogo, whereas it is set to generic in openoffice. Excel opens fine the same document Why does it concern openoffice? Because the same file saved with Excel opens perfectly fine with wordtogo.
Hi Daniel, this seems to be related to Issue 3948. Can you have a look at it and give us some comment please ? Frank
Created attachment 11852 [details] file produced by excel
Created attachment 11853 [details] same file, but created by OO1.1. What's the difference?
This issue does not seem to be related: all the other ones concern the conversion from .xls produced by OO to the proprietary format that was the only one readable by wordtogo. The new 6.0 version is able to load and save native Excel .xls files, which is great since I use linux. My only problem is this number format. Interestingly, it also happens if I create the file with gnumeric.
Adjusting target milestone
Due to limited time ressources I re-Target this one to OOo Later
