When you activate CAPS-LOCK the GUI should clearly reflect this.

I propose changing the cursor icon and display CAPS in the status bar. As of 1.1 the GUI doesn't show whether or not CAPS-LOCK is enabled.

People that are not trained typewriters often look at the keyboard when they
start typing, and when they finish a sentence they realise the text is in CAPS.
A text cursor with a framed capital A in the lower right corner of the cursor
icon could prevent these unfortunate breakdowns. Furthermore, the status bar
should display CAPS when CAPS-LOCK is enabled.

How about expecting the typist to look at the keyboard they're typing on and see
if the CAPS-LOCK light is on? Your suggestion would have them looking at all
caps and also noticing a framed capital A, which still means they have to undo
the caps. I see no advantage in the suggestion -- none at all for inattention
to what is quite literally right in front of the user.

For starters I have a wireless keyboard without the light.

Even if the keyboard had the light I would never notice it because I do not
interact with it the same way I interact with the GUI and the mouse cursor.

Furthermore the light on a keyboard is often placed above the numeric keypad,
which you seldom use to type case-sensitive text. The placement above the
numeric keypad is also placing the light dangerously near the eyes physical
blind spot.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
