Description stefanhe 2003-12-28 16:44:21 UTC
A try to import an existent letter written in WinWord 2000 scrambles the
content.
The sender and recipient are placed correctly but the subject, the letters text
and the date line are placed inside the "best regards" formula at the end of
the letter.
I can give you the letter and screenshots if necessary.

Reassigned to MRU
Comment 5 michael.ruess 2004-01-06 09:23:24 UTC
MRU->OD: there is an empty frame anchored to the header, which expands the
header to approx. 10 cm. This is not possible in Writer (tested with CWS
objectpos02).

MRU->stefanhe: As workaround you can set the spacing between header and body
text Format.Page.header to a higher value (such as 9 cm).
Comment 6 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2004-01-13 09:10:41 UTC
To fix the defect, the following has to be done:
(1) Support MS Word frames with width = Auto. (see issue #9046)
(2) Introduce special drawing layer for MS Word objects anchored at page header.
(see issue #14045)
(3) Get correct size and wrapping attributes from the import filter (asking CMC
- see below)

OD->CMC:
Can you please have a look on the import of the given MS Word document.
There is a frame, anchored at the page header, with a width = Auto and an
exactly height = 10,43cm and wrapping mode = None, which doesn't seemed to be
imported correct: In OOo height is 0,04cm and wrapping mode is 'wrap through'.
Please give your findings and assign back to me, Thx.
Comment 7 caolanm 2004-01-16 12:07:48 UTC
cmc->od: Indeed, the autowidth does not imply autoheight, which is what the code
thought, this is to be fixed as issue 24471. And the wrapping to be "through"
was one of the hacks around the frames in header/footer problems that you have
now implmented, so I'll remove that as well under issue 24471.

cmc->od: back to you as requested
Comment 8 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2004-01-19 10:32:37 UTC
Thus, issue still depends on issues #9046 and #14045.
Decided to duplicate this issue to issue #9046.

*** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 9046 ***
Comment 9 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2004-01-19 10:35:23 UTC
OD->MRU:
Please take over responsibility in order to check issue, if issues #9046, #14045
and #24471.
Comment 10 michael.ruess 2004-01-19 14:51:13 UTC
Hm, I think, it is better to set this as duplicate to issue 14045. The content
there better matches the requirenments here.
