Description glenns30 2004-02-04 17:16:38 UTC
I was using the spreadsheet's find/replace action to change all cells of a
specific column that contained x in the cell to 6.1.100 . I said to replace all.
Only that column and only cells with x were changed, but they appear to have
been changed to a date format. For example, they had 06/01/00 in the cell,
instead of 6.1.100 .. I checked the cell formats, and they are formatted as a
number not a date. Don't know why this happens.

Hi,

this is not a bug.

This is the number recognition from Calc. The number you entered is recognized
as a date and therefore displayed as such. There are other Issues that cover
this. Simply placing an apostrophe " ' " in front of the number making this a
text will solve your problem.
