Description drc 2004-02-09 10:41:31 UTC
New drawing, text tool, type long sentences. Use Right Click-Properties-Text
to remove 'fit width to text' and shrink the width to force line overflows.

Convert the multi-line sentences to bullet points.

The overflow lines of text are not indented.

Reassigned to Christian.

This is not a bug but an enhancement.
the behaviour is the same as in PPT.
The default settings of the outline text object are different to the default
settings of the 'normal' text object.
Please have a look.

This issue originally arose as a result of the default zero text spacing given
to top level bullets.
The user workaround is obvious - set a different spacing, but AFAIK this has to
be done every time they are used.

Would it be possible ship with a more attractive default please, and is there
any chance of a help entry on how a user changes this default for the drawing
application? We do need two different defaults to suit the two different space
and layout environments, but we shouldn't choose a default that looks like a bug!

Thanks to everybody involved for the fantastic workover this component has
enoyed. The results are superb - I can't wait to test them all!

Ouch - v2.0
This has bitten me again, and this time it seems to be a functional defect.

I have a text box with paragraphs that seems to be stuck in a progresively
indenting format with no user interface to correct it.

The offending paragraph starts 'Your website....'
The one after starts 'To get ...'

See formatbug.odg to be attached.

Confirmed in OOo2.0.2 on Debian Linux.

It has been with me for a long time - am I the only person using bullets in Draw
text boxes?
